If this look seems weirdly familiar, it’s because it is; in fact, you’ve most probably had a go at it the first time it made the rounds back in the day—as nearly everyone else did as well—when it wasn’t even niche enough to be called a trend (and all of the yearbooks can attest!). And though they do fall under the grunge spectrum, they’re not quite as angst-ridden. On the contrary, they’re actually kind of the opposite: romantic, semi-bookish, sweet and as you’ll see in our faves below, all sorts of enviable. Scroll on:
1. Blown Out
Teamed with softly curled ends, a blowout gets more personality with a piecey fringe.
2. Wet Bob
